The Digital Lift Software Grant provides your nonprofit with funding of up to $1000 for any software that will help maximize your team’s digital efforts.
The way it works: You’ll let us know on the application which software you want (up to 3 software), if approved, we give you the green light to purchase the software and commit to reimbursing you. Once you upload your receipts, we make the donation! You can also use this grant for software you’ve already purchased and have been using – just send us those receipts as well. (*Funding is subject to the provision of this proof of purchase)
- Your may request up to 3 softwares on your application, totaling $1,000 USD
- Be as specific as possible when explaining how this software will benefit your organization – if your application is not clear, your application will unfortunately not be considered
- Payments may be made online via our credit card, you must provide a donation page link or working online payment platform
- All grant funds must be used as stated in the grant application
- This grant is exclusively offered for software – applications for hardware will not be accepted

What is the objective of the grant?
The objective of this grant is to assist nonprofits by removing the cost barrier of bringing new SaaS (software as a service) platforms to their nonprofit. We want to contribute to overall digital transformation beyond monday.com licenses. Digital Lift wants to give grants to those nonprofits who may not be able to afford the software without our assistance.

What is considered a SaaS product?
SaaS products are a software licensing and delivery model in which software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted. Some examples of SaaS products can include, but are not limited to services such as; Slack, Calendly, DocuSign, ZenDesk, Dropbox, etc.

Can an organization submit more than one application per year?
Organizations are invited to apply as many times that they’d like. Organizations will only be eligible to receive one Software Grant per calendar year.

If my organization is not selected once, can I apply again in the future?
Yes, an organization can apply again if a requested grant was previously denied. Please note, you must meet our eligibility criteria.

What/how much will be awarded? Is there a maximum amount to a grant offer?
At this time, up to $1,000 USD per nonprofit per year is to be used towards the requested/approved SaaS product.

Are there any restrictions on the use of the grant?
The grant should be used for SaaS technology and the specific purpose stated in the grant application. A receipt proof of purchase must be shared in order to receive full grant funds.

Who will evaluate the proposals, and when will I know the outcome of the review?
A committee of Digital Lift employees will evaluate the proposals and share results with the contact person listed on the application.

What are the application evaluation criteria?
The application is evaluated on multiple criteria including the organization’s proposed use case, impact this technology would have on the organization, clearly defined goals, and comprehensive proposal responding to the application questions.

What is the expected timeline?
- Grant opens: Dec. 15
- Grant closes: Jan. 31
- Grant winners announcement: Feb. 20
- Grant payment: up to 30 business days (from getting all the required documents + completing payment signup)

What documentation is required of me to provide?
Once you make the purchase, you must provide a donation receipt, as well as a receipt with the purchase of your SaaS subscription including the total amount of purchase, date of purchase, and proof that this account is from the nonprofit approved to receive the full grant amount.
Receipts must be in the name of the NGO and cannot be purchased by an individual’s form of payment. Funding is subject to the provision of this proof of purchase.

How many organizations will be awarded this grant?
Up to 100 organizations will receive this grant per current grant cycle.

Can I submit the application in any language?
Please note that we are currently only able to review grant submissions in English.

Can I submit receipts in any language?
All receipts and documentation provided should be solely in English.

Can I make amendments to the grant?
Once a grant has been submitted, we will not be able to change the details of the grant.

When can I purchase the software?
Software must be purchased in either 2022, or 2023.

What happens if I do not respond to my grant approval within the specified timeframe?
Please note that once approved, you will have 30 days to get back to us to complete the payment process. If we do not hear back from you within this timeframe, we will unfortunately need to cancel your application to support other nonprofits. Please note that Digital Lift is not obligated to holds funds for nonprofits, even after being approved.

How does the payment process work?
We currently have 2 options for payment:
1) Credit Card – we can donate the funds to your organization online using your donation page. This will require that you send us a link to your donation page.
2) Payments powered by our external partner – we have partnered with an external payment platform to create a more seamless payment experience. Simply follow the link sent to you in your approval email and enter your preferred payment method. Percent will then complete the payment to your organization through the details you have provided.
